Calla & Fiz

I grew up just down the street from Calla in the suburbs of Northern Virginia. During freshman year, we were part of a very exclusive crew called the 5 Bs — the five brunettes — which, of course, disbanded when one of us went blonde. Even back then, Calla stood out: a uniquely creative, genuinely kind soul, and a fashion icon of Stone Bridge High. Today, she runs a successful shop creating custom wall art and freelances in fashion, still radiating that same high-vibe energy she’s always had.

Fast forward twelve years and life does what it does - Calla and her husband Fiz move to Denver for his job, and just like that, we’re reconnected.

So along comes Fiz, and oh my gosh, is he just as cool. But more than that, the way he loves her is unmistakable. Fiz has a deep passion for clothing and vintage finds, which feels so perfectly aligned with Calla’s own creative world. It’s one of those divinely guided unions that just makes sense.

So we decided to create together. I had a small gap to fill with mini sessions and had a studio booked - with about 30 minutes on the clock, we set out to make some photo magic. And honestly? That’s exactly what it was.
